Sending Messages
Messages can be sent as direct messages (to a single device) or as broadcasts (to everyone in the cluster). Either way, the message is automatically encrypted and digitally signed before it leaves your device.
Choose where the message will go
1. Touch Messages

You can also send messages from contacts.
2. Touch the new message button

You can also send messages from contacts, or by touching a reply button.
3. Choose recipient

If you choose [All Devices] your message will be a broadcast.
Send Your Message
4. Type Message & Send

You can also adjust the priority and expiry here. If the other device may be hard to reach (out of range), you may want to set a longer expiry.
5. Wait a few seconds

If the other device is in range, this takes anywhere from 5-20 seconds. If you chose mesh, it queues within a few seconds.
What if it Fails?

If the instant send fails, you'll see a message like this one, asking if you want to retry, mesh, or cancel.

In most cases, the best option is to choose Mesh and leave the device alone for a few minutes.

If you want to force only instant / in-range sending, you can retry direct.

Either way, the messages screen will show an up arrow when your message is accepted into mesh, and a check mark when delivery is confirmed.
