How Blackout Comms Works Use these for secure, local/off-grid texting and location sharing. Devices communicate directly via LoRa when in range (near-instant, like texting). Out of range, messages route automatically through the mesh and deliver when a path opens — similar to delayed email, with secure caching up to 24 hours.
Your private cluster handles everything: encrypted messages, frequency hopping, digital signatures, and mesh memory for reliable delivery even if some devices are powered off.
What's Included
- 2 Blackout Comms Communicators (T-Deck Plus)
- Pre-configured as your private mesh cluster
- All necessary cables and SD cards
Optional Upgrades (add at checkout)
- Additional Communicators
- Mesh Links (mobile "repeaters" and caches — great for hiking or spanning distances)
- Pagers or other compatible devices
No Service Needed These work anywhere using LoRa frequencies — no cell towers, internet, WiFi, or phones required. Messages stay encrypted and stored locally on the SD card.
This pair does not include a Link, but adding one (or more) later greatly extends range and reliability for separated group members.
