Your Go-Anywhere Blackout Comms Kit!
This kit is designed to help you stay in contact with family/etc locally while off-grid, hiking, camping, or really wherever you're within range capability of these devices and just don't want to use phones/internet.
 
This is a fully-configured (ready to run) private encrypted Blackout Comms cluster, including 2 Heltec touchscreens and a weather-resistant rugged Mobile Base, which can carry your touchscreens and has an Integrated Heltec E-Paper Mesh Link (Node).

The mobile base does not have to be running for the touchscreens to work, it only increases distance capability and enhances the cluster in other ways.

Wake (wake the screen up)
Enclosed in a protective PETG case (your color choice)

Mobile Base
Designed to run 24/7 if you want it to

Heltec e290 E-Paper is integrated into the case
You can turn the mobile base on and leave it outside, at your campsite, or wherever is a good central location.
Shares its location (encrypted) with other trusted devices, so you can get back to it using any Blackout Comms communicator in your cluster
Acts as a repeater, encrypted packet store
Displays broadcast messages (does not display direct messages)
These devices use LoRa radio frequencies to communicate locally. Range depends on many factors (rural/urban, dense forest/open fields, hills/no hills), but check the product images for some idea of distances we've tested with these (and others).
