American-Built ChatterBox Communicator / Node Coming Soon

Lilygo and Heltec make great products at costs much lower than an American-based manufacturer could build. However, if they’re unavailable (which happened recently), we need additional alternatives.

Over the past year, I have been working on a full touch-screen communicator that runs the ChatterBox firmware and is capable of functioning as a communicator, node, or both. I had shelved the prototype for a while, since I’m quite satisfied with what Lilygo produces, but I’m breathing new life into this prototype and plan to make it available soon, as either a kit, fully built unit, or both.

The components are sourced from American manufacturers, to the degree possible, and I plan to pivot as necessary, to ensure I’m using still-available components.

This device is in final stage of FCC approval and I’m putting the finishing firmware touches on it now.

Full Touchscreen

The full size of the screen is available for display. No space is wasted on a dedicated keyboard.

Compatible with Existing Hardware

These devices are fully compatible and can run side-by-side in any existing cluster with already-supported devices by Lilygo and Heltec.

In fact, you can take the SD card out of your T-Deck, put it in this full-screen device, and your settings/messages/password are automatically carried over.

Easy to use - Just like an App

The firmware features and screens are exactly the same between this full-screen communicator and the firmware we have available for T-Decks and Pagers.

Only 3 Buttons

Reset, Power off/on, and a 3rd button reserved for future use.
